About MVS Ghana

The Ghana mine ventilation Society was founded in 2024 when the Chief Inspector of mines and minerals commission brought a team of ventilation professionals together to have a discussion, and during that convention, it necessitated a formation of an association we are witnessing now. This association is not only having its maiden conference, but it’s one year old.

The key objective, of the association, is to advance the practice of ventilation engineering in West Africa, provide a forum for intellectual discussions and improve industry standards and practices in the area of mine ventilation.

Our Vision

To be a leading center of excellence in mine ventilation and underground air quality management in Africa, ensuring safer, healthier, and more efficient mining environments for present and future generations.

Our Impact

The Mine Ventilation Society of Ghana (MVSG) aims to significantly improve safety standards in Ghanaian mines through technical training, ventilation audits, and policy advisory to support responsible and sustainable mining.
